Welcome to Waves of Heart!!!

Hello, and welcome to Waves of Heart! I’m Sarath. I thrive with a deep love for words and the power they hold. If you’re reading this, you’ve found your way into a space where thoughts, emotions, and creativity all blend into poetry. I’m excited to share this journey with you, whether you’re a seasoned poetry enthusiast or just curious about the art form. Poetry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—an outlet for expressing those emotions that are hard to pin down with everyday language. After years of writing, refining, and growing as a poet, I published my first collection of 60 poems. Each one tells a different story, reflects on a different feeling, or captures a moment in time that felt significant to me. In this blog, I’ll be sharing more than just poems. I’ll dive into the stories behind my writing, talk about what inspires me, and maybe even offer a glimpse into my writing process. I hope to create a space where readers can reflect, explore, and find somethin...

Poetry as a Gift of Love: Writing for My Friend’s Anniversary

Sometimes, poetry isn't just a way to express our own feelings—it's a gift that can bring two hearts even closer. Recently, one of my closest friends asked me to write a special poem for his anniversary. He wanted to surprise his wife with something unique, something that captured the essence of their love. Knowing how much this moment meant to him, I was honored to write the poem.

I poured my heart into it, drawing inspiration from their journey as a couple. The result was a heartfelt piece that aimed to reflect the bond they share—the love, the commitment, and all the little moments that make a relationship truly special.

When I handed over the poem, I wasn’t sure what their reaction would be. But later, they told me how much they loved it. His wife was touched, and my friend was incredibly grateful. Hearing that my words had made their anniversary even more meaningful was a reminder of how powerful poetry can be.

In a world filled with material gifts, a poem stands out. It’s personal, timeless, and speaks directly to the soul. A poem has the ability to capture emotions that are sometimes hard to express, and when shared with someone special, it strengthens the connection between two hearts. Whether it’s a celebration of love, a milestone, or a simple reminder of how much someone means to us, poetry brings us closer.

Here’s the poem I wrote for them:

Together, Forever

Through every dawn and setting sun,
Two hearts as one, a journey begun.
With love that grows, in whispers, in cries,
Under endless stars and open skies.

Hand in hand, through thick and thin,
Wherever you are, love will begin.
For in your eyes, the world’s at peace,
A love that will never cease.

Years may pass, but moments stay,
Cherished in memory, come what may.
Together you’ll stand, through joy and strife,
For this is the beauty of a shared life.

Seeing how much this poem resonated with my friend and his wife reminded me of why I love poetry. It has a unique way of capturing the essence of relationships, helping us express love, gratitude, and connection in ways that go beyond words. Poetry is, at its core, a bridge between hearts, and I feel lucky to have been able to contribute to their special day.

If you’ve ever thought about sharing your feelings in a more personal way, consider a poem. It’s a gift that lasts forever and one that speaks straight from the heart.

Another Poem for their previous year's anniversary.

In the spacious world
and the silver night
I wish a light that lamps our lives.
In my brightest day
and the darkest moment
I pray to hold your hand,
in a tiny forever.
I love you in tons,
every day and every night
till we hug each other in our graves.

LR: An Unforgettable Inspiration

Inspiration has a strange way of finding us, doesn’t it? Sometimes, it arrives in the most unexpected ways, through people we meet or words we stumble upon. For me, it came through a poetess whose words felt like pure magic. I first discovered her work on an online platform, *AllPoetry.com*. Her poetry was unlike anything I had ever read before—each line flowed like a melody, capturing emotions in a way that felt both profound and effortless. She wrote like a magician, weaving words together to create a spell that I couldn't help but fall under. Her poems were mesmerizing, and I was instantly hooked, quickly becoming her biggest fan. We exchanged a few messages, chatting about our shared love for poetry and the creative process behind it. For those few days, it felt like we were kindred spirits, connected by the beauty of language. I felt my own writing start to evolve, as if her words had sparked a new phase in my journey as a poet. I found myself exploring new depths, inspired by...

The passage of Time

They laugh. They talk. They plan the next weekend. And I sit among them, nodding, smiling—playing my part. But inside, I’m unraveling. Not because of something dramatic, but because time is slipping. Quietly. Moments blur into days, and suddenly, I can’t remember the last time I felt still. Everything is moving too fast, and I’m standing in the middle of it all, watching life rush past like a train I forgot to board. They don’t know it—but I’m having an existential crisis about the passage of time. And it’s not loud. It’s a quiet ache, like something beautiful fading before I even learned to name it.

Each of Us Has a Unique Way of Sharing Our Stories

Stories breathe within us. They take shape in the silence of our thoughts, in the rhythm of our heartbeats, in the echoes of the world around us. Some of us spill our stories onto pages, letting ink bleed into emotions, while others paint them in colors that words fail to capture. Some sing their stories, their voices carrying the weight of their emotions through melodies, while others find expression in dance, where movement speaks louder than language. I often wonder what compels us to share our stories. Is it the need to be understood? Or perhaps the desire to leave a trace of ourselves in the world? For me, storytelling has always been a quiet conversation with my soul—an intimate dialogue that turns whispers into words, emotions into narratives. There was a time when I believed stories had to follow a certain path, that they had to fit into a mold crafted by literary greats. But as I grew, I realized that stories are not meant to be caged. They are wild, free, and deeply persona...
